Our ServicesBroadcast, entertainment, media & public relationsOur specialist services to this sector started in the mid 1970's when Paul, who had been DJ'ing for several years secured a contract to provide roadshow (lighting and sound) and outside broadcast facilities to Radio Trent in Nottingham. At the same time he was helping to reorganise the management and finances of a local hospital radio group. Over the years friends, acquaintances and contacts have spread out from Nottingham and have kindly recommended us across the country. We now act for national, local, satellite and internet TV and radio presenters throughout the UK. Although we are based centrally close to J25, M1, Paul travels to see clients from Newcastle to Bristol and Liverpool to East Anglia; he also regularly sees London clients at the ICAEW at Moorgate. Diane, having joined the practice in 1986 as a manager also acts for a number of entertainment and media clients and looks after our one orchestra. We also act for a number of classical musicians and music teachers. As a natural progression we now act for:
Several members of staff being "footie fanatics" are delighted that we act for a number of football players, personalities, writers, broadcasters, commentators and pundits. With such a wide knowledge of, and longstanding connection with, the entertainment and media industry we can offer a very personal service to clients being aware of the unusual tax, VAT and NIC problems encountered by this sector. For some we look after all their financial, bookkeeping and payroll paperwork. We also provide a free spreadsheet based bookkeeping system to those clients who wish to keep their accounts; the records can be e-mailed to us for checking, correction and to speed year end accounts or quarterly VAT Return preparation. We have many talented and unusual entertainers with whom we have enjoyed working for many years, and we hope that we have helped them not only with their finances but their careers as well. |
